Close to the historic Amber Fort is 'Khas Bagh,' a farm retreat in Jaipur tucked away in the Aravali hills. A stone's throw from the 12th-century Amer Fort, Khas Bagh is built on the lines of a medieval-style haveli with open courtyards, verandahs with arches, and intricately carved stone pillars and jaalis, all hand-crafted by local craftsmen. 25 luxuriously appointed rooms & suites with antique furniture, a Polo Lounge with black and white family photographs, a magnificent sandstone pool, sprawling lawns & verandahs overlooking the hills, all add to providing an authentic, bespoke Rajput stately home-stay experience.

The property is managed by Ransher Singh, a polo player and his father, Colonel N S Rathore, a veteran of three wars, who retired from the elite SPECIAL FORCES of the Indian Army.

Powered by solar panels, nourished through rainwater harvesting, and kept green with drip irrigation, the estate is a living example of eco‑sense and elegance. Waste is composted back into the garden, kitchen produce is grown on‑site, and refillable water is provided to minimise plastic waste—all part of our Khas Bagh ethos: nurturing the land that nurtures us.

Our Ecological Outreach

At Khas Bagh, we endeavour to reduce the carbon footprint through various eco-friendly measures.

  • Energy conservation - With our recently installed solar panels, we at Khas Bagh are almost self-reliant in our power requirements.
  • Water Conservation - Every drop of rainwater that falls on our estate is conserved through rainwater harvesting, which in turn recharges groundwater. Treated wastewater is used effectively through drip irrigation to keep our plantation green.
  • Local Building Material is used for all our construction and infrastructural requirements. By ensuring that most of our staff is sourced and trained locally , we do our bit towards sustaining livelihoods in the local community.
  • Our organic kitchen garden helps to drive the " Farm to Table " concept.
  • We endeavour to reduce the usage of plastic at our property. Along with packaged mineral water, our guests are also given the option of refillable drinking water.
  • All our kitchen waste is recycled into manure by using composting techniques.

At Khas Bagh, guests are welcome to bring their pets along to enjoy the outdoors. While pets can enjoy a romp in the sprawling estate, certain areas are restricted. We also request that pet owners be considerate towards other guests.

A stay that has etched in my heart forever! This was a girl’s trip, a two-night trip basically to shop, eat and bond. We left craving the need to stay on for a longer time. An experience in itself is Khas Bagh... the attention to detail of all features leads to understanding the taste of the owners. Perfect for a comfortable stay.. open spaces to lounge or walk.. pool and great food along with impeccable service. All the Executives working there are the main attractive thing in this hotel. The hotel has rooms to fit your taste and family requirements. Don't miss out on the horse stable experience if possible.

Me and my mum stayed here for 5 nights at the end of January 2019. It was a delightful experience! A magnificent hotel with a beautiful courtyard and terrace. Everything is decorated with elegance and real glamour from the early 1900s. The staff go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome, comfortable and have everything you need for a really special holiday. The breakfasts are excellent, and the dinners are of very high quality. No other hotel on our 2-week trip has compared to this.
